EAGLE BREAKING THROUGH WALL
A dynamic 3D-illusion mural of a bald eagle bursting through a crumbling brick wall, talons extended, wings spread wide. The trompe l'oeil technique makes the bird appear to explode from the building's surface into the viewer's space, blurring the line between wall and wingspan.

Inspiration
Eagles symbolize freedom and the refusal to be contained. Having one literally break free from a wall captures that spirit viscerally — the constraints are physical, the breakthrough is real, and the message is immediate.
The Process
The 3D effect requires precise perspective calculations before any paint goes on. I measured viewing distances and angles, then worked out the shadow and highlight placement mathematically. The 'broken brick' elements were the most labor-intensive, requiring realistic texture painting for each fragment. The eagle itself was rendered in hyper-realistic detail to sell the illusion.
Community Impact
People stop their cars for this one. The 3D effect is convincing enough from the street that it genuinely startles first-time viewers. It's one of my most shared pieces on social media because the photos capture the illusion well.
