WARRIOR WOMAN WITH GOLDEN LION TORCH
A fierce warrior woman with flowing blue hair wielding a golden lion torch, painted as a competition piece at a mural festival. The figure radiates strength and creative fire, standing as both a self-portrait of artistic determination and a universal symbol of the courage required to create.

Artist's Note
“Competition pieces demand your absolute best under pressure — limited time, public audience, other artists painting next to you. This warrior woman represents what that experience feels like internally: summoning everything you have, holding your fire steady, and refusing to back down.”
— Rachel Dinda
Inspiration
The warrior archetype resonates with every artist who has chosen a difficult path. The golden lion torch symbolizes creative fire — the thing that drives you to paint at impossible scales, in impossible conditions, for audiences who might not understand why you do it.
The Process
Festival competition work is a sprint. I mapped the composition quickly, committed to the color palette without second-guessing, and painted with an energy and urgency that I think shows in the finished piece. The blue hair was the signature element — bold, unapologetic, and impossible to miss from across the festival grounds.
Community Impact
This piece resonated with other artists at the festival who saw their own creative struggles reflected in the warrior's stance. It's been shared widely in the mural and street art community as a representation of artistic determination.
