Inspiration
The directness of wildflowers. Daisies don't try to be orchids. They just open up, face the sun, and are exactly what they are. That confidence in simplicity is something I admire and wanted to paint.
The Process
Deceptively simple compositions are the hardest to execute — there's nowhere to hide mistakes or muddy decisions. Each flower was placed with careful attention to spacing and rhythm. The purple was mixed to a specific shade that would pop against the blue without clashing. Clean edges required masking and patience.
Community Impact
People respond to the simplicity of this one. In a world of visual complexity, a wall of bold purple daisies on blue gives the eyes somewhere to rest. It's become a popular photo backdrop precisely because it doesn't compete with the subject standing in front of it.
