“Arcades are temples of fun — pure, uncomplicated joy. I wanted the mural to feel like the games themselves: colorful, energetic, and a little bit chaotic in the best way.”

Inspiration
The nostalgia of arcade culture — the sound effects, the blacklight glow, the competitive energy. I wanted to translate all those sensory memories into a visual experience before you even walk through the door.
The Process
Bright colors on this scale require careful layering to avoid muddiness. I blocked in the major color fields with latex, then added details and line work with paint markers and spray paint. The neon effect was achieved with strategic use of fluorescent paint that pops under the arcade's exterior lighting.
Community Impact
The owners say the mural has become a landmark for giving directions — 'turn at the colorful arcade building.' First-time visitors tell me they knew they were at the right place before they even read the sign.
